DR. ANDREW WILLIAMS, MD FACP
Dr. Williams is a Harvard trained physician, board certified in Internal Medicine. In addition to working as a Physician and the Medical Director for Community Health Center of the North Country, Dr. Williams has privileges at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. He plays a leadership role at Canton-Potsdam Hospital where he is the Associate Medical Director, Assistant Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine, the Physician Champion for the CPOE project, and the chairman of the Utilization Review/Medical Records Committee.
Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor of Medicine for the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and is also on the advisory board for Clarkson University's Physician Assistant Program.
Dr. Williams has received numerous awards and honors for his academic achievement and in recognition of his teaching skills, including Fellowship in the American College of Physicians, AOA medical honor society, Arthur W. Bauman Award for Outstanding Teacher in the Dept of Medicine, Lawrence A. Kohn Senior Teaching Fellow Award, Outstanding Health Care Provider – Navajo Area Director's Award. Dr. Williams is an active member of 3 different medical societies: American College of Physicians, Massachusetts Medical Society, and American Society of Echocardiography.
GEORGIA BLACKBURN, CERTIFIED FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER
Georgia is a native of the North Country and joined our team after practicing in Ogdensburg since 1998. She originally received her Nursing degree from SUNY Canton in 1982, and became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1998. She has great instincts and a desire to focus on preventive care and health education. Currently accepting new patients.
CHRISTINE THRASHER, CERTIFIED ADULT NURSE PRACTITIONER
Christine originally attended SUNY Canton to earn her Associate of Science and Registered Professional Nursing degrees. Following graduation she attended the University of Phoenix where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. After those years in Arizona, Christine returned East to work on her Master of Science in Nursing, graduating from Stony Brook University in 2012. Most recently she worked at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center and with Dr. Tracy Laflair in Ogdensburg. A member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and New York State Nurses Association, she resides in Canton, and is happy to now be practicing closer to home. DR. KELI HOLLIS, DDS
Dr. Hollis spent her undergraduate years at Clarkson University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with a minor in psychology, in 2004. While at Clarkson she earned the Department of Biology Award, acted as a Forensics Team Design-Mentor and resident advisor, volunteered for the Special Olympics, was a member of the Society of Professional Women, and was a member of the co-ed medical fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon.
In in 2008, Dr. Hollis graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. While attending SUNY Buffalo, she was a teaching assistant, a volunteer at the Special Olympics, a member of the American Student Dental Association, and was on several of the University's committees.
Dr. Hollis has a great deal of clinical experience. In 2007, she completed an emergency clinic externship at SUNY Buffalo; thereafter, she completed a one-year residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. After completing her residency, she worked in a private practice setting as a full-time dental associate for several years.
DR. MARK FRANKE, DDS
Dr. Franke graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology in 1975 and earned a master's degree in natural sciences from SUNY Buffalo Roswell Park Memorial Institute Division in 1978. He went on to graduate from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1983. 2017 Community Health Hero Award winner for St. Lawrence County
DR. PEDRO ALVAREZ, DDS
Dr. Alvarez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Siena College in 1971; where he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry in 1976.
Before coming to CHCNC, Dr. Alvarez worked as the Dental Director for St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center from 1977 to 2006 and worked in the private practice field for 6 years. Dr. Alvarez worked part-time at CHCNC from 1996 to 2006 and has worked full-time since then. His knowledge and experience make him a valuable member of our dental team.
DR. OLAIFA TURNER, DMD
Dr. Turner earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Temple University in 2009; she went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013. Prior to joining our team Dr. Turner practiced in South Carolina and Florida, and has expeience in both private practice and hospital settings. Originally from the Bronx, she wanted to be closer to her large family, but practice in a more rural setting and help underserved communities.
DR. JONATHAN LUDLOW, O.D.
Dr. Ludlow graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1999, ranking 17th out of a class of 140. He is a dedicated professional with 17 years of experience, most recently on base at Fort Drum and with Center for Sight. He is joined by Optician Mary Ploehn-Brown. This enables our team to integrate exam and optical all in one convenient location for you the patient.
